Hi

I need to use the pdf plugin in Firefox 1.5.0.7 to view pdf files in the browser.
Tools > PDF Download - Options > General tab > Open PDF selected.
PDF opening tab > Use PDF plugin selected.
the plug in I got from http://www.pdfdownload.org/

when I visit a pdf link,
http://stanton-finley.net/fedora_core_5_installation_notes.pdf
it pops up the download window asking
What should Firefox do with this file?
Open with
Save to Disk

how can I check if the plug in is installed and then get it to just
use the plugin.
$ ls /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/
libjavaplugin_oji.so

it looks like it is not installed.

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/636/
click on Install now (96 KB)
Software Installation window opens up, hit Install now. restart
firefox, visit the pdf link again, no pdf plug in still.
thanks

Why not just go to the Firefox website....to the Add On's and search for PDF Download and install that extension. You can install it with a couple of clicks and resolve the problem. The PDF Download extension from Firefox lets you save the .pdf, view the .pdf in Firefox or view as HTML, whichever you prefer. It really doesn't require any configuration.
