Ok im looking for a few new GUI's to try out. I have Core 5 defaulted to Gnome and I deleted KDE. I know those are the main 2 but can anyone give me some names for more so I can try them out?

Personal favorite alternatives are Fluxbox & Enlightenment. One day i'll get around to getting E17 working. E16 was actually the first window manager I ever used, that was when a work colleauge introduced me to Linux (Debian).

hi,

you can also test FluxBox. it is a minimalist but if you love to work at the terminal it could be for you! :)

yum install fluxbox

you can use your installation cd/dvd or use YUM.

As I know, you must be able to see kde in the session list. :)

Look:

http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=113536&highlight=yum+group+install+kde

yum grouplist

and you will see a group for KDE if I remember correctly.

Then yum groupinstall groupname

My favorite is icewm (http://www.icewm.org); small, light, fast.

Doesn't appear to be available in FC5 via yum, but pretty straightforward to compile from sources.

KDE is definitely better than Gnome some things won't function in Gnome. Especial Java plug ins for Fire Fox
