Does anyone know where I can find a program like netpersec for linux? One that will measure the transfer speed (and display an overtime graph with averages) of transfer speed on a given interface?

rrdtool should graph just about anything with the proper script. Run
yum install rrdtool and have a look at scripts like these (http://martybugs.net/linux/rrdtool/traffic.cgi).

The only problem I have with that is that it doesn't seem to be real time. Not a huge deal, but I'd prefer a real-time one if anyone has one. This certainly is very close, and if I don't find anything realtime, I think this is what I'll use. thanks!
