Hey guys, I may be crazy here, but I've searched and can't seem to find a tutorial on how to install a program in fedora. I know how to install programs via yum, but what about when the program is not available via yum?

For example, I'd like to install dc++ ( http://dcpp.net/download/ ). They have both binary, and source downloads available, but no rpm. I just have no idea where to start. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
Matt

If source is available you can usually download it, extract/untar it if necessary, go into the folder and then run configure, make, make install on it.
