1. Is there anyway to use VBR? I found the place where you can put the actual bitrate you want the mp3s encoded/ripped at.

2. Since it's grabbing the file names off freedb, it's doing a decent job. But not that great, where can I kinda edit how I want the file format to come out? instead of Artist-Title.mp3 I would have it Artist - Title.mp3

3. Is there a way to automatically put the artist name into the idv3 tag? Mine is inputting "Various Artist" as the title (its a soundtrack i guess), it states the artist/song in the title section of the idv3 tag.

Thanks in advance,

1. Yes, use lame as the encoder and set the correct option on the encoder configuration tab (http://www.nostatic.org/grip/doc/ar01s04.html#mp3config)
2. You can set up the file name on the same page as above, see the configuration switches (http://www.nostatic.org/grip/doc/ar01s04.html#gripswitches). However, using spaces in file or directory names is a bad idea, it will cause a lot of problems.
3. Disable Grip's ID3 generation and use lame command-line options (http://lame.sourceforge.net/doc/html/id3.html) to set up the ID3 tags.
