View Full Version : XGL - Falied to start X server

Last night I was trying to install the XGL on my laptop that has a built in video card. And when I writed the code, like I saw in one of the topics:

gnome-xgl-switch --enable-xgl

It asked me if I wanted to do that, I said yes. The computer restarted but now everytime that I try to boot fedora, I have a black screen that later says that it Failed to start X server. It also gives me the option to see what was wrong, and it says something about the length is too big or something like that. It also gives me the option to change the screen size and some other stuff, but I tried all of them. Well, I think is something on the videocard that probably doesn't support the XGL.

How do I get out of there? how can I boot fedora without the X so I can write the code to disable the xgl? or What do I have to do, so everything works the way it was and I can fix this problem?

There are some things that I really need in there so the last thing that I want to do is to reimage it.

Thank's for your time,
