hi friends a new site name FlyNix (http://www.flynix.co.nr) has been launched.
its a linux customization site where we all espacially those r newbie can post there question
and make there desktop cool. :)

Which is exactly why you shouldn't advertise it. I've always been told by community admins that you should never advertise for members until your website has something to offer. Otherwise, people are going to turn away.

You may say that if you don't advertise, then you won't get any members. But, word of mouth is always the best method. You tell a friend, they will tell a friend. It's a very good idea to start a community with a group of friends. It makes it easier on you and everyone else. Then grow it up later.

Another tip, use a custom skin. Or at least a commercial skin. I hate forums that use skins that I could download from any theme repository for free.

I'm saying all of this from experience, by the way. So don't flame me because I sound like I'm putting the site down.
