I have heard so much about compriz and AIGLX, but I do not know much about it yet. The first question that I have is:

what kind of graphics card do I need to have to be able to use it? I currently have an ATI Rage Pro 128 video card!

The remaining I can figure out possibly, but need to know what I need first!!!

ATI Rage Pro 128 might be a little weak....
Also, see here:

For reference AIGLX+Compiz run perfectly smooth on my 915GM Intel card.

Of course it doesn't hurt to try, it is very easy to turn AIGLX+Compiz on and off ;)

I've been wondering about this myself. It says the Radeon 7000 is supported but I'm wondering if that includes the Radeon All-in-Wonder 7000 32Mb.

I'm a bit reluctant to try it as my system is running so beautifully and I'm afraid to bork it but those new Compiz themes on gnome-look.org look really tempting :D
