this is a messy one~
i tried to install fedora onto a laptop last night with my room mate (not my broken laptop)
and it installed most of the way and then for some reason rebooted...
so i never really got to boot fedora (it never opened)
So i re installed it..
and re in stalled it
and re installed it and im sure you get the picture.
Anyway at this point grub gave me 2 options Windows XP or Fedora Core

but now!!!

gub dont even open and i cant run anything...

grub opens a black screen and says

Grub> and just sits like this...

can anyone tell me how i can boot windows from here....??
or even better how can i remove all of fedora and start again?

Time is so of the essence!

i only have untill 4pm this afternoon (china time) an its 9.06 now!

Hope I am not too late, however I would suggest that you type at the command line:

title Windows XP
rootnoverify (hd1,1)
chainloader +1

Replace hd1,1 with whatever it was setup with..

This may or may not work for you.

EDIT: You can try reinstalling grub:

Boot to Install Disk one, type linux rescue at the Boot: prompt, when you get to the shell run
chroot /mnt/sysimage
grub-install dev/hda
