Hi

I am a newbie.

A friend installed FC4.

I am considering installing FC5.

There are some partions (and corresponding sizes in MB) - could someone educate me on this pls?

My memory is, before installing there are some decisions/questions about various file/sector sizes, file/sector types and so on.

Currently it boot from the hard drive - I want to stick to it.

I also have a ATI AIW in it - it appears that there are some advantages in going for FC5 - my TV tuner cards doesn't work now.

Any other Tips?

Thanks

If you are upgrading a FC4 install to FC5, the installer should detect this and do the work for you.

Or are you considering FC5 on a PC that currently does NOT have Linux?

Your post wasn't clear on that point...

I was considering a fresh install - maybe use a different hard drive.

Also, how can I upgrade from FC4 to FC5.

Thanks

"upgrade" will show up as the default install open when you boot a FC5 CD/DVD on an older FC (possibly even RedHat) installation.
