I'm trying to get epsxe to work and I've ran into some problems. I'd appreciate your help. Hopefully this thread will be more productive than some of the others I've made.

I have setup the bios (SCPH1001.BIN, also tryed SCPH101.BIN) and I have downloaded an assortment of plugins. The cd plugin I'm using is called CDRMooby 2.8. I haven't been able to try any of the video or sound plugins.

The program closes when i try to fire up a game from the cd rom or try to configure the video or sound plugins. When I start the program in the terminal, these errors are displayed.

CD error:

Have you checked their documentation?

I have searched around a bit, but haven't found a solution.

Someone suggested making a link to the libbz2.so file

ln -s /usr/lib/libbz2.so.1.0.2 /usr/lib/libbz2.so.1.0
But that didn't work. I'm going to look at some of the notes about the CD plugin.

This error occurs, I believe, because of a conflict between the Eternal Sound plug-in the the graphics plug-in. Try using the PeOps OSS sound plug-in instead of Eternal. Not sure as to your CD error, as I tend to rip the iso's (from my originals, of course!) to hard drive instead - which results in less jittery performance. I hate the dreaded 'segmentation faults'!
