Hi:

I want to try partitioning my HD with fips. But the New PArtition has only 428.2 MB. So I decided to deframent the disks again to have more space at the end of the disk, but, I am not exactly sure what is happening, seems to be that the file:
windows\system32\config\SysEvent.EVT, can not be defragmented, is still near the end of my HD, and in the defrag. report appears as another partition.

What can I do here?

thanks

I've seen Windows refuse to fragment certain area of a drive before as well. Although this is not a Windows support forum, what worked for me is to just run the defragmenter again and again until Windows finally gives in and defragmented the drive.

Please keep your questions linux and specifically Fedora related in future. (You may get more help as well. ;) )

Try defraging in safe mode, generally there is a chance that the file may not be in use there and can be moved around unlike being in your normal windows environment.
