I am just wondering if there is a way to make things a bit more crisp in xwin, it doesn't look as good as windows. I have a Toshiba Satellite a75-s231 with a 15.4" widescreen w/xbrite, it looks very good in windows. I have installed new ATI drivers but I get an error when I try to load Display Settings, it says:

Driver does not provide the FireG: X11 extensions!
Panel components will operate only partially

i have Mesa v1.2 (1.5 Mesa 64.2) drivers
Renderer:
Mesa GLX Indirect

Thanks in advance.

Try this guide that I just posted.

It got me functioning with ATI OpenGL. It works better for some things.

i have a A75 s229, and if the have the same video card which im betting they do, mobility radeon 9100 igp, then the ATI fglrx drivers only provide 2d support, and you are much better off going with the "radeon" driver that came with your FC
