I am running FC5 and just updated my computer and this is what happened after the update. One trash icons shows an empty trash icon and shows an 'empty trash' selection on the menu that comes up when I right click it. The other trash icon shows an full trash icon and when I right click it there is not an 'empty trash' selection. Also everything is fine with KDE, only one trash can. This very same problem happened to me when I was using FC4 about six months ago. I have included a screen shot to prove my point.

Yes, I have it too. It's a known problem and hopefully will be corrected in FC6. (Of course, the fact that I'm using FC6-T1 and also have two trash cans makes me a bit skeptical about that.... )

i had that problem when i used kde AND gnome. i think gnome was reading the kde trash can and kde was ignoring the gnome one. i think that's how it went.

sorry. it's not an answer, but oh well
