View Full Version : Clock incorrect...

For the past several days, I have noticed that the clock in Fedora is wrong - tonight it's off by 10 minutes - even though it's configured to set the date and time automatically.

If I go in and select a different time server, then click Apply, it tells me that it can't contact that time server, so I have to manually adjust the time. After clicking OK, if I go back in to this interface, the option to set the date and time automatically is selected again, and whatever server I chose last is also selected in the list.

I'm not sure what's causing this - a while back I ended up running low on disk space due to some things I was compiling which were quite large and ran into this problem, but clearing up the "temp" folder and freeing up some more disk space seemed to fix this issue.

mh....
To set right clock, I put follow line to /etc/rc.d/rc.local file.

rdate -s time.bora.net

Thanks for the info. I ran that command from the terminal as root after making that change and the system time updated properly, so hopefully that will fix the issue. Today it was only off by 4 minutes.
