anyone know of easy to understand info on nm-applet, dns-servers, changing wireless networks?

my probs are:

1) if i use nm-applet on my home wireless network then i cannot determine dns-name-servers. this means the software install package manager times out (also gaim).

i also used ubuntu on my laptop, and the twiddlign (of dhcclient script or whatever) drove me mad as commenting out the renew dns-nameservers effectively blocked me from using other wireless networks.

any help woudl be appreciated.

now nm-applet is playing up completely, so is the network option in administration.

i know i must be me changing things but it's frustrating.

i'm writing this post via puppy 2 (which is only 60MB). Why can't FC5 be as easy as puppy linux?

i suppose this means no.

it's frustrating though. i think i'll go back to ubuntu (6.06).

i know it is not fedora's fault (but stupid intel).

but it's frustrating all the same.
