This is not a Linux or Windows question but rather a general hardware setup one. Is there anyway I can dock a laptop and a desktop to use the same peripherals such as monitor, keyboard, etc.? Can this be accomplished through a docking station or A/B switch or both?

Thanks...Chris

There is a device that will let you control two independant computers. It is called a KVM, which stands for Keyboard, Video and Mouse, and lets you switch control between one computer and the other. They are around $50. As far as sharing an internet connection you will need a router, hub or switch. I don't think that a docking station will help you with what you want.
