This isn't the usually tale .. this is a story :P

Ok i've just installed FC5 and i'm ready to install amsn like when i was under fc4..

Ok i download the fc4 rpm and .. error! the program won't start ..

wish not found ..

Ok i go to my yum extender and i install tcl and tk ..
wish not found

I recheck in yumex and tk are in the "install" list .. i try to install it twice. Boh!
So i open a console and write : yum install tk and from console works well..

Ok wish found! Another problem now ..

I launch amsn from console (or from the link) and i receive this:
"You can't load TkCxImage, this is now needed to blah blah .. Please compile amsn first blah blah .."

Ok let's compile it.
Console, root access ./configure:

checking how to run the C preprocessor... /lib/cpp
configure: error: C preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails sanity check
See `config.log' for more details.

I've installed gcc and gcc-c++ but now .. take a look at config.log

configure:2049: gcc -c -g -O2 conftest.c >&5
conftest.c:10:19: error: stdio.h: No such file or directory
conftest.c:11:23: error: sys/types.h: No such file or directory
conftest.c:12:22: error: sys/stat.h: No such file or directory

stdio.h is an header file iperfamous in c++ and i'm shocked to see that cannot being found ..

So .. what should i do? format fc5 and reinstall the 4? or there's something to do? please help me :P

I hope to had explained it well..
Any helps is appreciate, thanks ^^

Do you have the cpp package installed? The config error says something about /lib/cpp which belongs to the cpp package.

[sanjay@FC4 ~]$ rpm -qf /lib/cpp
cpp-4.0.2-8.fc4
I am using FC4 but I imagine the package name should be the same for FC5

C header files are part of the glibc-headers package.
