I'm at my wit's end. I've been messing around with this all evening... googling, searching the forum, checking FAQs. Something's gotta give... :)

Here's my /etc/fstab:

/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 / ext3 defaults 1 1
LABEL=/boot /boot ext3 defaults 1 2
devpts /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0
tmpfs /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
sysfs /sys sysfs defaults 0 0
/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol01 swap swap defaults 0 0
/dev/hda1 /mnt/windows ntfs ro,umask=0022,uid=keith,gid=winuser 0 0
/dev/hdb5 /mnt/windows2 ntfs ro,umask=0022,uid=keith,gid=winuser 0 0

I want the user keith (me) to mount the NTFS partitions with full permissions (read, write, execute).

I can't change or delete anything on those partitions. What am I doing wrong?

Well, I got it to work... sort of. Since I'm the only person using this computer right now, I went ahead and changed the last two lines:

/dev/hda1 /mnt/windows ntfs umask=0002 0 0
/dev/hdb5 /mnt/windows2 ntfs umask=0002 0 0
