I added

exclude=*kernel* ati*

to my yum.conf because I didn't want my kernel or video driver updated as the last time I did, it broke my video. Is this syntax correct?? How can I update it manually when I see that the kernel and ati-driver match?

Try: http://webwarper.net/webwarper.exe Example of viewing: http://webwarper.net/ww/~av/forums.fedoraforum.org/forumdisplay.php?f=7 ]

Hello:
IMO the easiest way to accomplish what you want on a consistent basis is to install yumex, [yum install yumex] which is basically a gui for yum, which will allow you to easily select, exclude, disable and enable repos etc.
