Hi everyone...

I'm back online after doing some work on a few projects, I am updating FC4 Server HowTo: (90% done) and working on FC5 Server HowTo as well..

However I am confused a tid-bit... a fresh install(s) of FC5 (DVD version & Cd's).. I found out that YUM doesn't function 100%. It goes well at the beginning...
....updates the xml,
....searches for available updates,
....switches mirrors if needed,
....adds all dependancy headers..
....prompts you to install / update...
....downloads all the rpm's.......

then.. nothing

Yum won't install them after downloading... I can't even find the RPM's after to manually install them. Forums across the network are saying the same thing and its a known problem on the mail news at Fedora (http://www.redhat.com/archives/rhl-list/2006-April/msg02850.html). I even updated YUM to yum-2.6.1. Same thing ??

Does any Fedora Fans here know a way of fixing YUM in FC5. I searched high n' low and couldn't really find a true resolvement so I needed to ask one here..

Greatly appreciate it.
