View Full Version : Disconnecting from a Windows Share

Let's say I use this command to mount a share....

mount -t cifs //windowsmachine/sharename /media/mountpoint -o username=name,password=password,domain=domain -rw

This gives me read and write access to the share on the Windows machine by accessing my /media/mountpoint.

now let's say I want to disconnect that share without rebooting or logging off, which command will do that? And how can I set this all up so I can execute a shorter command to mount and unmount the setup.

so I would like to be able to type... workmount or some such script name and have it mount all of my work shares and then dismount then when I want them dismounted.

any ideas?

Cheers
