I have downloaded frum fresh repos httpd

A day after while booting I get a msg module_access.so does not exist

It was no where in my hd, event not in erased files.

So I decided to download from apache site 2.0.58.tar.gz file.

But when I checked md5sum I got another value instead of what is written on their site.

I erased and cleaned the trash for downloading it again, but download manager instead of downloading the file, is taking it from a cache somewhere in PC. Where linux download manager holds this cache

Any help will be very precious. I am without apache :( (I don't want to try again from fresh repos, because after formatting I loose time with my slow connection)

so you are using fc5 and still want to use apache 2.0 so you are getting it from a unofficial repo.

check for the downloaded file in ~/Desktop, /tmp, and ~.

If all of that fails, try using wget :

$ cd /tmp
$ wget http://someurl/path/to/MyFile-0.10.1.tar.gz
...
$ md5sum file

Does that work? If not, post the url and md5sum and I'll try it here.

Fedora Core supplies everything you need for a sophisticated Apache based web server from its official repositories. See Fedora Core 5 Installation Notes (http://stanton-finley.net/fedora_core_5_installation_notes.html) for instructions.

if this is an apache 2.0 vs. 2.2 issue (which is implied by the poster) note that fc5 does not have apache 2.0 in the official repos.

EDIT : I can't find this in fresh, so yes, poster should be using official repos for apache httpd!
