i have some problem when a try to install new software
this message came up

i got the same error
but with only one message:
Unable to read version lock configuration: [Errno 5] OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/etc/yum/pluginconf.d/versionlock.list'

hi
i had the same problem: cant find file versionlock.list

i solve that:
first of all, find your version lock package.
do it at console:
rpm -qa | grep yum
this will find all of your yum stuff on your machine
then
just do at console:
rpm -e yum-version lock .... (change it with the name you got with the rpm -qa)
