Hi

I just re-installed KDE. Before I logged in with it, however, I nuked my .kde directory and .kderc

I am back to the same problem I had before (and thus I went to using gnome) which is that KDE is using kuickshow when I try to browse folders rather than konqueror. If I manually start konqueror and click on a folder it gets opened in kuickshow.

I have no clue as to where to change this.

Ideas?

Try 'yum remove kde' followed by 'yum install kde'. Edit: If you're still experiencing the same things, why not go into the Control Panel and then under KDE Components, adjust it with the File Associations?

Well... ya know the thing is...

I DID install it using yum.

As far as file associations there is none for a folder/directory/desktop.

Well waddya know? Never searched for it, but can't find it right away either! Well, how about right-clicking and 'open with' then choosing Konqueror and then Remember Application Association?

Well as soon as I found the command line for konqueror for file management I was able to specify
"konqueror --profile filemanagement" to open the link I have on my desktop to home.

Thanks.
