Hello all

after installing softwares, i have multiple choices to boot from in grub. The last installation was done with

yum install alsa-* for my sound card

now i have 2 weird choices in grub and both are not correctly working. I removed the alsa-* but i still have these 2 choices. How can i uninstall them, not just edit the grub.conf file so they ll not show anymore

i have FC5

thanks

Chances are that the removal procedure left those entries behind. If you are positive the software is not on your system anymore, I guess you can safely edit grub.conf and manually remove those leftovers.

Try 'rpm -e kernel(whatever)'
