What are the major differences between using Livda vs FreshRPM (sp)? I'm more concerned about the security / integrity of my system, so I'm not sure which one is a better choice.

I'm not sure why you seem to include Extras with Livna in the title of this post but please be aware that Fedora Extras are entirely compatible with FreshRPMS and all of the other RPMforge repositories.

Yup, nm Extras - Its more a question of Livna vs. FreshRPMs. What are the differences?

There really ought not to be any differences if we've got a good community. There's certainly not a war going on there or anything, but it's a bit disappointing to have the 2 most widely known repo groups not compatible.

I don't know if there's anything we can do, however. Who has to do the work to bring the repos into compatibility? The repo managers. Do the repo managers think they are in the wrong? Of course not.

Should we petition the repo managers to provide a compatible structure?

It would certainly be nice if Livna and RPMForge played nice together.

Cheers

Duncan

Are there any major differences to what's available between the two?
