Hi,

what script and where do i have to write to modprobe acer_acpi when system boots?

and what do I have to write to it? I've tried:

alias acer_acpi
but it gave me some errors on boot and it didnt modprobe it.

Try:


modprobe acer_acpi

With this it also said WARNING: ignoring line 7, something bad line starting with "modprobe"

Read all about it: Persistant module loading (http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/enterprise/RHEL-4-Manual/sysadmin-guide/s1-kernel-modules-persistant.html)

Create /etc/modprobe.conf using your favourite text editor
Put "modprobe acer_acpi" into it
Save the file and then make sure it's flagged as executable

install module acer_acpi
