Using Fedora Core 5 on a Dell workstation.

I'm unable to telnet/login to servers running Solaris 9, 10 (Sparc) or Solaris 10 (x86). There aren't any problem telneting to AIX systems. There aren't any problem telneting from AIX system to same Solaris systems. The workstation didn't have a problem connecting to the Solaris systems when it ran Core 3. This was not an OS upgrade.

Using /usr/bin/telnet a login prompt is never provided. It hangs at "Excape character is '^]'."

Using /usr/kerberos/bin/telnet a buffer overflow is detected and telnet terminates. This is followed by a backtrace.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Weird... on my box both work (ultrasparc running solaris 10). I said weird, because the kerberized version crashes when telnetting to another Linux machine.
