Upon attempting to run RealPlayer, I get this error:
"./RealPlayer10GOLD.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"
What is the problem, and what can I do to fix it?

Don't use the .bin install - use the RPM:
http://www.real.com/realcom/R?href=http%3A%2F%2Fforms.real.com%2Freal%2Fplayer %2Fdownload.html%3Ff%3Dunix%2FRealPlayer10GOLD.rpm %26amp%3Bproduct%3Dplayerplus%26amp%3Bsystem%3Dlin ux&pageid=unagi.8083677&pageregion=advanced_install&src=linux&pcode=rn&opage=linux
After downloading it you can install it with:
su
rpm -Uhv RealPlayer*.rpm

I did use the RPM. I tried to use the .bin install at first, but it gave me that same error and wouldn't install at all.

You haven't stated if you're using Fedora Core 5 or 4, but the solution should be the same.
The message
"./RealPlayer10GOLD.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" is actually fairly informative - RealPlayer is looking for libstdc++.so.5 and not finding it, so you need to provide it. On FC5, the package to install is compat-libstdc++-33

I wish RealPlayer fixed their RPM so it had the proper dependecies, but oh well.

yum install compat-libstdc++-33
Then use the rpm -Uhv command I posted above.

Oops, sorry about that. I'm using FC5, for future reference.

It seems to be working now that I've done that. Thanks!

Another question on RealPlayer:
Has anybody gotten it to work with the streaming files presented by Amazon? When I try to play one, I get a message saying:
"The content you are trying to play uses an audio codec that is obsolete and no longer supported. Please contact the content provider about using a supported codec."

I'm not sure about amazon, but RealPlayer, totem-mozplugin and mplayer-plugin do all my needs for me:
su -
rpm -Uhv http://rpm.livna.org/livna-release5.rpm
rpm -e totem --nodeps
yum install totem-xine totem-mozplugin libdvdcss libdvdread mplayer mplayer-gui mplayer-plugin
That should get them setup.
