I am trying to setup a Subversion server that uses Apache for my repository. In order to do this I needed to uninstall the httpd package that was installed when I loaded FC4 and rebuild Apache 2.0 from source. When I try to use FC4's Add/Remove Applications - Package Management to uninstall the Web Server, I get an error that the httpd and php packages cannot be found. The httpd service was stopped (I know it was running at one time b/c I could access index.html from a remote machine). What could possibly be going on here and is there a workaround?

I still have not determined what the issue is with the FC4 Package Managment stuff, but I used rpm -e --nodeps httpd and it removed the webserver for me. I had tried this earlier and my terminal locked up. After a reboot, rpm -e worked.

yum should be the first command to try.
