Hi

Can anyone explain why this fails?

# rpm -Fvh glibc*
error: File not found by glob: glibc*

# rpm -Fvh nscd*
error: File not found by glob: nscd*

Thanks

Are you sure you give the command from the same directory where the files are?

Yes. Although there are no glibc* or nscd* files there at all, if thats what you mean...

See
http://bits.xensource.com/Xen/docs/xen3_rpm_install_notes.html
for the step-by-step insstructions that i'm following.

The directory that i'm running the rpm command from only has the xen rpm in it.

Looks like the .tar file downloaded from here (http://www.xensource.com/products/downloads/) should contain this files and they should have been extracted. The rpm command needs for sure an .rpm filename
