Guys please help to the newbie! im useing the fedora core 5 x_86_64 ! and not log ago i decided to install a mplayer for fedora 5. BUT!! im using yum mostly to install without a problems any soft i want !so but when i said to YUM yum install mplayer it install me a console variant! those scrs and rpms i was loading for the official site of mplayer didnt worked ! please does anyone knows how to install a gui mplayer ? please please please! =) help me ! =)

run this

yum install gmplayer

thats the gui version, you might still need to download the codecs from the mplayer site yourself.

Do the following command below

[root@jurn] rpm -ivh http://rpm.livna.org/livna-release-5.rpm
[root@jurn] yum -y install mplayer w32codec

Explanition for the above

rpm -ivh http://rpm.livna.org/livna-release-5.rpm Install/configures the livna.repo on your computer
yum -y install mplayer w32codec Installs mplayer and codecs on your computer
