View Full Version : ALSA/OSS emulation

My system is Fedora Core 5... it has two soundcards: a C-media PCI card, and a VIA card built-into the motherboard.

Both work.

However, when I use an application (like RealPlayer) which simply refuses to output to ALSA (I've tried to set SoundDriver=2 in ~/.realplayerrc, but it doesn't work). Unfortunately, the OSS emulation seems to be directed to the C-Media card, rather than the VIA built-in card.

How can I change this? How can I make the OSS emulation module output to the VIA soundcard, rather than the C-Media? I know I could simply remove the C-Media card, but for reason too complicated to go into... it has to stay for the time being.

Thanks for any help.
