Hi,

Depending what you want to do with the source package you can install it with

yum install kernel-devel

or

you can download it here

http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/5/source (if you haven't update the kernel)

Hi trm,

Tks for your advice and URLs

What I need is the kernel source for FC5_64 (64 bit).

I tried to install a driver "NFORCE-Linux-x86_64-1.0-0310-pkg1.run" to fix the problem of PC hanging. I have kernel-devel on FC5_64 DVD installed. However when I ran

# sh NFORCE-Linux-x86_64-1.0-0310-pkg1.run

It still asked for kernel source and exited finally in the absence of the later.

Which package should I install to satisfy the driver's request. TIA

I can't run "yum". Whenever connected the broadband the PC hung

My bet is that the installer script search for the kernel header in a given place, while FC places them in /usr/src/redhat/kernel/ (not sure, take a look at the output of "rpm -ql kernel-devel" to see where the files are).
Open the installer script with a text editor and try to find out that "special" location - then make a symlink for it pointing to the directory where the kernel headers are.
