I was wondering how to install a kernal from a cd or floppy? I need to update a computer with no internet connection. I am not very experienced with linux so step by step instructions or links are welcome.

Copy the rpm package to the cd or floppy and then place it on the machine you want to install it on. Then, yum --localinstall nameofrpm and it will install and check for dependencies. (You must cd to the directory where you copied the package to use this syntax)
