Hi,

Ever since last night's yum update if I use rpm to install a package it does the installation but never exits. I left it alone for an hour after the install said it was 100% complete but even after 1hr rpm never exited.

Also rpm would not respond to keyboard interrupts (^Z, ^C, etc) so I had to kill it from another window.

Any ideas on how to find out what rpm is up to and why it's stalled?

TIA,
Nic

I had a similar problem a few years ago. I solved it rebuilding the rpm database.

# rpm --rebuilddb

Not sure if it will work for you, but I think it's worth trying.
