I'm having trouble setting up the spca5xx driver. I'm using FC5 x86_64 with kernel version 2.6.16-1.2080_FC5. And my webcam is Logitech QuickCam Chat.
Here's what I am getting,

[root@localhost src]# cd /usr/local/src/spca5xx-20060402
[root@localhost spca5xx-20060402]# make clean
rm -r -f drivers/usb/*.o drivers/usb/.spcadecoder.o.cmd \
drivers/usb/.spca5xx.o.cmd *.o *.ko *.mod.* .[a-z]* core *.i
[root@localhost spca5xx-20060402]# make
Building SPCA5XX driver for 2.5/2.6 kernel.
Remember: you must have read/write access to your kernel source tree.
make -C /lib/modules/`uname -r`/build SUBDIRS=/usr/local/src/spca5xx-20060402 CC=cc modules
make: *** /lib/modules/2.6.16-1.2080_FC5/build: No such file or directory. Stop.
make: *** [default] Error 2
[root@localhost spca5xx-20060402]#
[root@localhost spca5xx-20060402]# make install
mkdir -p /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/usb/media/
rm -f /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/usb/media/spca50x.ko
rm -f /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/usb/media/et61x.ko
install -c -m 0644 spca5xx.ko /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/usb/media/
install: cannot stat `spca5xx.ko': No such file or directory
make: *** [install] Error 1

I think it's probably because I didn't compile the driver properly to kernel in the first place. But I can't figure out how to go about it. Can someone help me out?

Install the kernel-devel package.

Thanks markkuk. That worked like a charm. Just out of curiosity. Is kernel-devel equivalent of kernel-source in Debian linux?

kernel-devel includes only the headers and other files required to compile device drivers and other kernel modules, not the full kernel source code.
