Has anyone had any luck getting pcAnywhere to install on FC5?

It used to work perfect on FC3 and FC4 but no luck in FC5.

I've always used the 11.5 version of PCA but now have the 12.0 version which has more Linux support but no joy.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Dunno about PCA but you can see my server setup link in my signature for a howto on VNC -- Basically same thing. You'll get a GUI window that's your home login screen, and you take it from there. It's not secure by default, but you can see how with this:
http://martybugs.net/smoothwall/sshvnc.cgi
Basically, you have to:

ssh -g -l username -C -L POTC:127.0.0.1:PORC remote_hostname_or_ip
POTC = Port On This Computer (vncviewer localhost: based on this one)
PORC = Port On Remote Computer (The remote server port -- typically 5900 or 5901)
then VNC viewer to localhost based on port PORC:
5900 = :0
5901 = :1
5902 = :2
etc

Thanks Firewing1

Good info but I do have VNC setup.
It works well.

My main thing is at work they are almost 100% windows.
So of course all is pcanywhere.

I have no problem with VNC and use it at work on my windows boxes as backup in case pca fails.
Yes, pca has failed me many times! VNC always came through.

I'm still learning linux after many years and have figured out almost everything I've had problems with but this is a new one that I can't figure!

Thanks\
