 well I did a lot of searching and I can not find the answer that will help.
First odd I am a noob and I have tried to run/learn linux in the past. I have just installed linux fedora Core 5 and I was trying to install ndiswrapper. The prob is when it looks for my kernel. From what I have read the kernel should be located in one of a couple of possible locations. One is /user/bin or /usr/src or usr/src/(distro)...mine happens to be /usr/src/redhat. In all of those locations there are no kernel folders and I can not find my kernel file. I tried to search but I come up empty handed. I installed an updated kernel with it's suporting install file (I can't remember what it's called). When I do that I then get the "kernel" located in the /usr/src/kernel. BUT in that folder there are other folders none of witch contain the kernel that ndiswrapper is looking for....... what am I missing.

Thanks for the help

JC

Install the kernel-devel package - the one whose version matches the kernel you are running.
Kernel-devel provides the files needed for building kernel-modules.

Better, try a ndiswrapper howto (http://fedoramobile.org/fc-wireless/installing-ndiswrapper/).
