View Full Version : "make rpm" instead of "make"?

Hmm.. I recently had to compile ndiswrapper -- still messing with it.

Anyways, I found out that after installing build-rpm, you can run the command "make rpm" and then install that.

That to me seems far benneficial to just "make" and "make install" because that way you can uninstall later through the package manager.

Am I correct or are there downfalls to this?

Yes that is one reason why packages are good, they track what's installed for removal later.
