Hello all

I'm trying to find a DreamCast emulator for Linux. My DreamCast doesn't work all the time anymore and I was looking for a way to play it on my computer.

Does anyone know where I can find one? Is there one available?

You mean actually pop in a dreamcast disc in your cd drive and play it off there?

well, either do that, or play ROMs.

Is the problem related to the GD-ROM drive?

Hi, I think the dcemu one doesn't actually work. It can run homebrew code, but that's about it apparently.

I'll have a look at the PSX ones...I have the very cool Frodo emulator...brings back a lot of memories :)

Is the problem related to the GD-ROM drive?
Whats that?
My Dreamcasts video output goes wrong...sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't :( (It's actually my brothers Dreamcast...he bought a new cable for it, but it didn't really help)

EDIT: aaa...wrong way round. I can't find any downloads for the dcemu ... its swirly that doesn't work.

GD-ROM stands for Gigabyte Disc Rom. It is a special version of CD-ROM that can store 1GB of data which was specifically designed for the Dreamcast.

You mentionned the problem is with the video output. Perhaps you should let an electronician check out the problem.

yeah, I was thinking about that. I basically just wanted to play Soul Calibur...

oooo...classic game! I really want to play that now. I might try and get the DC working...i.e. fiddle with the plug (that "apparently" works so my brother says)
