View Full Version : Lost Hard Drive

As I said on my earlier thread I have on my IDE drive Windoows (which wasn't lost after all) and Fedora Core5.
I also have a SATA second drve which I can't access although GParted recognises it.
I would be pleased if you can sort this problem.

Although I can see it and access it with GParted I can't find it to read and write to it

its not lost, just gotta mount it
check by doing partition setup:
fdisk -l // as root
this should correctly list all drives and partitions
you sould add that second SATA drive in fstab so it automatically mounts every bootup

[root@localhost des]# fdisk -l // as root
bash: fdisk: command not found
[root@localhost des]#

you need to run

su -

otherwise you will not get all of the correct root pathes.
