I'm considering purchasing a T60 and I was wondering if anyone has FC5 running on one and if so what problems I might expect...

Check this link

they don t have anything on the T60 yet but it should come soon. I have a T42 with FC3 on it.
I had to monkey around for the sound to work and for my wireless connection. It was not that bad. Actually I found all the answer on this link:
http://www.ces.clemson.edu/linux/fc3_setup.shtml
Haven t tried to install FC5 yet, kind of waiting a while for all the small bugs to be fixed.
I would say doesn t matter if it is T60 or T42 what you need to investigate is what kind of hardware is inside your laptop.

hope it helps

In my experience, IBM laptops have always been great with linux.

I also have a T42 and it has FC5 running flawlessly on it.

Everything worked out of the box.

Wow, thanks for all the quick responses!

According to ThinkWiki it looks like I would have issues with the wireless adapter...

I also noticed posts (I can't remember if it was here or at another site) about problems with SATA in multiple Linux flavors. I thought someone stated that FC5 shouldn't have any problems based on the latest kernel. Does anyone have insight on this?
