I'm just installed (successfull) kernel-2.6.16-1.2069_FC4 from FC4 updates. After this I made an attempt to boot this kernel. The attempt ended with error "mount: error 6 mounting ext3".
Previous kernlel (kernel-2.6.15-1.1833_FC4) work fine.
Hardware:
Asus P5GD2-x motherboard, HDD: SATA 200G + IDE 120G

Are there other solution of this problem?
Why Redhat don't build ext3 support in the kernel?

I have tried to stay away from the new kernel for the time being. I had major problems getting the redhat 2.6.15 to work on my system. I ultimately just compiled my own. I am assuming I will have to do the same with this kernel as well.

1.rejigger grub.conf ==> root=305
2.rejigger grub.conf ==> root=/dev/sdax
3.rejigger grub.conf ==> root=LABLE=/1
4.disable SMP
5.build-in ext3/SATA/ATA/SCSI
6.in existence /etc/modprobe, use mkinitrd make initrd-2.6.15.6.img
