Can anyone tell what this means? I'm trying to recompile a custom kernel but I'm getting the following:

CHK include/linux/version.h
SPLIT include/linux/autoconf.h -> include/config/*
make[1]: *** No rule to make target `init/main.o', needed by `init/built-in.o'.
Stop.
make: *** [init] Error 2

Can anyone give me some hints? Thanks

fc5 doesn't include the kernel source code, only the headers required to build third-party modules. if u want to recompile u kernel u must download the kernel.srpm
