this is what happened when im downloading the fc5 dvd iso. it went up to around 97% normally, and then all of the sudden stuff started to go at a NEGATIVE % ... e.g. -96%, -95% , -94%

not sure what to think of this.. i have the latest firefox..

maybe there is some type of integer overflow in firefox.. b/c the dvd iso for fc5 is really big

the files checksum is not what it should be so something is getting messed up, unless the iso is just not genuine but i highly doubt that

any idea whats up with this?

I once heard there used to be a limit on the files size you can download with Firefox (could be 2GB). I don't know if it still exists (apparently so). You can try using something else (like wget).

I had the same issue using Internet Explorer in IE when I first went to download the DVD iso of FC5. I ended up just using a ftp client and downloaded the iso at over double the speed IE was originally (from the same server)

If you have a vfat filesystem, you might not be able to store the iso...

use wget instead of firefox.

Firefox can't handle files >2GB. Use wget.
