I have a mini CD from a Sony Mavica camera. I forgot to finalize it, yet I want to get the files off of it anyway. From what I can tell the filesystem format is udf. I tried

[strcat@mybox tmp]# mount -t udf /dev/cdrom /mnt/foo/
mount: block device /dev/cdrom is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/cdrom,
missing codepage or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so

I found some crippleware for Windoze. So I booted to 'doze and tried the two packages. They find all the files and verify that the CD's format is udf. But of course I can't copy the files without shelling out mega$$.

So back to FC4. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong.

[strycat@mybox tmp]# cat /proc/filesystems
This gives a very long list with the following as the last 4 lines:
nodev autofs
udf
ufs
vfat

So that means I have udf support.
What should I try now?
