Alright heres the problem. I have a dell 2405FPW 24" monitor, and an ATI X800 video card. Now I had a crazy time trying to get FC5 installed on the monitor alone, and when I did, this is what I get... Pictures are here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/75879934@N00/) (mind you these are at 840x480 (which is what it sets my screen res to) and is stretched on a 1920x1200 screen).

Since these are really horrible looking, I was hoping that someone could help me fix this.

The Xorg.conf file is attached below...

Thanks

You may need to wait for the offiical ATI driver for FC5. I believe one will be available at the livna repository soon. I once tried to set up a widescreen resolution (1680 x 1050 or something) using FC4 and the generic nVidia driver ("nv"), and it just did not work. I had to use the official nVidia driver.

I've got the exactly same kind of problem and looking for help. Maybe I'll wait for SUSE 10.1 to see if it works.

I think it's the ATI driver.
