hi all

i use fedora 5 -64 bit , i don't know why but my trash is desapered from the desktop in kde ( in gnome work fine ) ......
how can restore it ?

consider yourself lucky.;. ive been working out how to delete my trash bin from the desktop in gnome.. the one in the task ar will do me fine ;)

ill trade your invisable one for my visable one :p

I don't know about KDE, but in Gnome you go to System tools --> Configuration editor --> Apps --> Nautilus --> Desktop, and check/uncheck trash icon, home icon, etc. to be visible or not.

After spending time in KDE, I always find an extra trashcan on my desktop when going back into Gnome. I haven't looked into it, bit it appears that KDE dumps a trash.desktop in ~/Desktop. I don't have the contents of the file (since I always delete it), but if you could create one, it just might make the icon reappear.
